This is the one known as "Dan" to some good, old friends I miss...
Is that Hamlet the one with Mel Gibson? I thought it would be a piece of trash, but I was shocked at how good it was! I think it was from the 90's though... Oh well, I'll probably never find it here in Egypt anyway.

No it's actually the one with Ethan Hawke (!)...also Bill Murray makes an appearance and Sam Shepard. It's directed by Michael Almereyda and takes place in modern day New York city. I like how it was "translated" to the modern day.
